Jethro Tull's Inspiration

Jethro Tull got most of his inspiration from his journey around Europe. During this time he was actually search for a cure for his disease but he also learnt a lot about the various different farming techniques that were used around Europe. From this he got the inspiration to improve and attempt to perfect the farming techniques that were used in England. Tull did not like the idea of manure, so he tried to come up with an alternative method to make the crops better. With inventing the seed drill the seeds are now buried under the soil, greatly improving the chance of a health crop to grow. This was another reason why he invented the seed drill.
